Upcoming Book Events with Dr. David Ansell
Please join the Illinois chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program for a discussion of Race, Health, and Healthcare Reform, with authors Dorothy Roberts, JD, and David Ansell, MD, MPH.
When: Tuesday, August 7, 6:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Where: Grace Place, 637 S. Dearborn, Chicago; 1st floor. Grace Place is wheelchair accessible.
Donations by PNHP Illinois physician member sponsors will be used to fund the chapter's presence at local and Midwest Student National Medical Association and Latino Medical Student Association conferences, with the goal of supporting minority medical students' organizations while introducing them to single-payer health care.

Professor Roberts, author of the 2011 book “Fatal Invention: How Science, Politics, and Big Business Re-create Race in the Twenty-First Century,” is the Kirkland & Ellis Professor at Northwestern University School of Law and a faculty fellow at the Institute for Policy Research. She is the author of the award winning “Killing the Black Body: Race, Reproduction, and the Meaning of Liberty” and more than seventy articles and essays in books and scholarly journals, and is the co-editor of six books on gender and constitutional law. She serves as chair of the board of directors of the Black Women’s Health Imperative.
